Core Values
Responsiveness: I will use an individualized approach based on a deep understanding of your organization and the context within which it operates.
Authenticity: I often tell clients that when they hire me, they get all of me. I will share not only my expertise, but also my questions, doubts, and inspirations.
Servant-Leadership: My purpose is tied to yours. I succeed only if you get what you need to make your organization better at what it does.
Core Principles
- I am a “thinking partner,” meaning that the engagement is something I do with you, not something I do to you or for you.
- I balance the “insider” perspective (i.e., I want to see you succeed) with the “outsider” perspective (i.e., I maintain the voice of objectivity).
- I strive to leave something behind, helping board and staff members develop new “habits of the mind” to foster ongoing organizational learning.
My Orientation
I am not an expert in management science, nor am I a master technician in the areas of planning and evaluation. Rather, I am a generalist practitioner in the field of organizational development. Click here for a fuller explanation of this approach.
